Episode 26: Jasmine Uitermark-Thaung, Dan Sims, The Ink Grid, "Secret" Bottles

The Take Away Special is back for 2017 and what a great episode to start the year with! The Ink Grid is an independent publication covering Perth music, art, fashion and everything else. We sit down with its creator/editor Jasmine Uitermark-Thaung and designer/contributor Dan Sims who prove to be great guests, the best guests ever, with their infectious enthusiasm and serious energy! We discuss the origins of The Ink Grid magazine, the learning curves in organising gigs and publishing for the first time, how to write a review of a live music gig, and what is needed in both the Perth and wider Australian music scene when it comes to issues of diversity, respect and safety. We also investigate "Secret Bottles" (whatever could we mean by that?!)  in different locations in our Secret Perth segment and we introduce new segments to our great guests including: Parental Record Collection, Forward Link and Water Preference. Please attend The Ink Grid fundraiser on Wed Feb 1 at The Bird with Bells Rapid, Sly Withers and Super Naked playing: https://www.facebook.com/events/704594339700494/
